The wait is over Substance Ale is available in 16 oz cans. These pounders really are the substance that other bears wish they were.

A Bowl of Punch for Two!

It was my wife’s birthday yesterday and we decided to celebrate back at our favorite new place Central Provisions .
This time I remembered to take a picture of one of one of my favorite boozy things ever! There punch bowl for two. They have updated the bowl itself to a size that better fits on the table, but it’s still a great drink value and a delicious fun addition to dinner.
There are three to pick from. The one below is called the Baxter Boulevard and features rum, cassis, pomegranate and sparkling wine.

For those that are wondering, the dish next to the punch was spicy fried Maine potatoes with Hienz 57. Golden fried crispy but yet you can fold them like a slice of pizza to eat. I loved their meaty texture and full spicy flavor!

A fantastically aromatic treat to enhance your favorite beverage.
Bottom photo is my version of a Manhattan on the rocks. Vya dry vermouth (I like the crisp tartness and floral aroma), and 3 dashes of these captivating bitters. I bet they have them at Vena’s Fizz House

A great neighborhood diner filled with reasonably priced South American dishes. Order a burrito, taco or an enchilada. Then decide on your filling. While this may sound familiar (Carne asada, fish, chorizo…) these dishes are fresh, filling and bursting with flavor. A burrito as thick as my arm and a bag full of fresh made chips/salsa (self serve salsa bar) and a soda was about $11 or pick any three Tacos with chips/salsa $9. Great value!
Open for both lunch and dinner. Eat in or take out. A nice selection good of local and Mexican brews. You can even get a margarita, in a plastic cup!
