I know I can sound like a broken record, but Central Provsions just keeps getting better and better! On our latest visit I was: imbued with joy by the tuna tartar, dazzled by pineapple and heart of palms, and stunned by the new standard for lamb. Accompanying it all was the fantastically versatile Baxter boulevard punch!
If home is where the heart is, then little Bigs must be my home away from home. I just love them that much! Their donut creations are just so amazing! I can best describe their raised donuts as Crispy fried joy with a pillowy core. Absolutely life affirming bites of happiness!
But wait there’s more! First time visitors please note that their pasties are equally amazing! Golden hand-formed crusts of a dizzying variety, filled with such beautiful things as “real” Texas chili, Thai chicken bursting with flavor and my favorite cheeseburger with tomato jam!!

Dubbel Shot ale from Barreled Souls Brewery in Saco,is a Belgian style ale with with cold brewed coffee. It’s a wonderfully complex high alcohol brew, reminiscent of a fine dry port but much more drinkable.
I plan on pairing my growler with some beef short ribs that have been simmering all day.
